Hebburn Bunnies Grooming Booking Terms

Hebburn Bunnies Grooming Booking Terms 🐰✂️

By booking a grooming appointment with Hebburn Bunnies, you agree to the following terms:

Appointments & Arrival

All grooming appointments take place at Hebburn Bunnies at The North East Pet Shop, Unit 8 Victoria Industrial Estate, Hebburn, NE31 1UB.

Please arrive on time for your appointment. Late arrival may reduce the amount of grooming time available and, where there is not enough time to safely complete the booked service, your appointment may need to be rescheduled.

We do not currently offer rabbit collection or drop-off services.

Vaccinations

All rabbits attending a grooming appointment must have in-date rabbit vaccinations.

Proof of vaccination may be requested before or at your appointment.

We reserve the right to refuse or reschedule an appointment where suitable proof of vaccination cannot be provided.

Rabbit Health & Welfare

Please tell us before your appointment about any known medical conditions, injuries, mobility problems, skin conditions, recent veterinary treatment or behavioural concerns.

Our grooming services include basic welfare observations while your rabbit is being groomed. This is not a veterinary examination, diagnosis or treatment.

If we notice something that may require veterinary attention, we will let you know.

We may stop or refuse grooming if we believe continuing could cause unnecessary pain, stress or distress to your rabbit.

Rabbits showing signs of serious illness, suspected flystrike, significant pain, severe diarrhoea, broken or inflamed skin or another condition requiring veterinary treatment may be referred back to their veterinary practice before grooming can continue.

Coat Condition & Matting

Please book the service most suitable for your rabbit's current coat condition.

Maintenance Groom appointments are intended for routine grooming and do not include extensive de-matting or heavy coat work.

Long-haired, heavily moulting or matted rabbits may require our Long-Haired & Heavy Coat Groom.

Where a rabbit's coat requires substantially more work than the booked appointment allows, we may recommend a different service, stop once the booked time has been used or discuss additional grooming time and charges with you.

Any additional charges will be discussed before additional work is carried out.

Severe matting will only be removed where we believe it is safe and appropriate to do so.

Hygiene Grooming

Our Hygiene & Comfort Groom is a grooming and coat-care service and is not a substitute for veterinary treatment.

Where we find significant skin damage, suspected urine scald, signs of infection, flystrike or another health concern, grooming may be stopped and veterinary advice recommended.

Parasites

Please tell us before attending if you suspect your rabbit has fleas, mites or another parasite.

We do not routinely apply flea or parasite treatments as part of our grooming appointments.

Where a parasite problem is suspected, we may recommend veterinary advice before grooming or further treatment.

Behaviour & Handling

We understand that rabbits can be nervous, wriggly or unsure during grooming and we will always use patient and gentle handling.

Please tell us about any known handling or behavioural concerns before your appointment.

We reserve the right to stop a grooming session where a rabbit becomes excessively distressed or where continuing is no longer safe for the rabbit or groomer.

The full service fee may still apply where grooming has been started and has to be stopped for welfare or safety reasons.

Bonded Rabbits

Bonded rabbits booked for a pair appointment should be transported and attend together where safe and appropriate.

Please tell us before your appointment if there have been any recent changes to your rabbits' bond or signs of fighting or aggression.

Appointment Times

Service times shown are the maximum appointment time reserved for the service booked.

Appointments may finish earlier where the required grooming work has been safely completed.

The price of the booked service remains the same where an appointment finishes early.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

Please give us at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment.

Appointments cancelled or rearranged with less than 24 hours' notice may not be eligible for a refund.

Customers who repeatedly miss appointments may be required to pay in full before any future booking is accepted.

Missed Appointments

If you do not attend your appointment and have not contacted us to cancel or rearrange, the appointment will be treated as a no-show.

No-show appointments are non-refundable.

Photos

We may occasionally take photographs during or after grooming.

We will ask before using identifiable photographs of your rabbit for social media or promotional purposes.

Our Right to Refuse or Stop a Groom

The welfare of every rabbit in our care comes first.

Hebburn Bunnies reserves the right to refuse, pause or stop any grooming service where we believe continuing would compromise the rabbit's health, welfare or safety.

Contact Us

If you are unsure which grooming service to book, please contact Hebburn Bunnies before booking and we will help you choose the most suitable appointment for your rabbit.
